12 Self Improvement Lifestyles You Should Invest In Come 2019

2019 is around the corner, and like the usual culture, have your resolutions for the new year ready. This time, not resolutions that you wouldn’t fulfill, rather, make strong resolutions that will change your life and alter your destiny for good.

1. Love Yourself

This new year, start loving yourself, give more attention to the things happening in your life. Eat healthy food, sleep well and exercise. Self love is the beginning of an improved life.

If you love yourself, you’ll treat yourself kindly. You won’t have to be told to do all these things. In case you didn’t know, people take cues on how you treat yourself from you. If they perceive self respect and see that you cherish yourself, they’ll do the same to you.

2. Seek Support:

This 2019, ask for help. Don’t think you can do it all by yourself, we all need someone to help us. Kevin D Johnson said “An overinflated ego prevents those who ask for help from receiving it.” The richest man on earth didn’t get to where he was without the help of other people.

Even geniuses need people to exhibit their genius.

3. Build Self Confidence And A Strong Self Esteem

Don’t mistake self confidence with an inflated ego. Confidence means self-assurance. It’s an expression or feeling of certainty. Ego is a feeling of self-importance. Build self confidence in 2019, talk like you’ve never done before, go to places you thought you could never be. Just exhibit your confidence.

4. Prioritize And Schedule Your Priorities

Have a priority list and schedule your priorities. Put the most important tasks up first and take important steps that will better your future.

5. Start Early, Start Now

Don’t waste time, don’t wait for perfect conditions. Start doing what you intend to do now. Begin to take steps that will move you closer to your goals.

6. Embrace Challenges

Your ability to step up to challenges will distinguish you from a group of other people. If you see every challenge that comes your way as an opportunity, you’ll go far quickly. Always challenge yourself to do better and beat your previous record everytime.

7. Get A Mentor

Get yourself a mentor, Someone who is relevant in your field of endeavour. Listen to them and take their advice. Don’t go into mentorship for selfish reasons or because you need immediate help, go and understudy, learn from them and you’ll do well.

8. Build Good Networks

It was Bob Burg who said “It isn’t just what you know and it isn’t just who you know, it’s actually who you know, who knows you and what you do for a living.”

9. Never Hesitate To Make Sacrifices

Make sacrifices that will better your life in the future. If you have to start saving part of your income do it. It may not be convenient for you at first, but in the future, you would have learnt how to manage money. It pays in the long run.

10. Plan Ahead

Just like this post is to make you rethink your life and put strategies in place for the next year, you should always plan ahead. Don’t live life without a plan, plan your future now. Your expenses, your finances, cash flow into and out of your business and even your family. You should always plan your life ahead of time.

11. Define Your Goals

The word ‘define’ means to determine with precision; to mark out with distinctness; to ascertain or exhibit clearly. Let your goals be clear and well understood. So that when you begin to layout plans to achieve them, you’ll have a clear picture in mind.
